Thirteen North's aim is to make classical music both accessible and inviting – opening it up to as many folks as possible. These films allow us to share our performance you, wherever you are in the world. 

In June 2023 the ensemble performed three new commissions by folk-influenced Scottish composers Pàdruig Morrison, Catriona Price, and Pippa Murphy.

The evening included the work of Glasgow-based filmmaker Bircan Birol, who collaborated with the three composers to create short films in response to the themes explored through their music – generations, cultural exchange, and tradition. These films were played before each new piece was performed.
